Unfortunately, I didn’t get enough of the necessary time or energy to do game systems work today. Instead (after dealing with some personal bureaucracy), I decided to draw some sprites of my own! Meet Asta.

Oh, that’s right. She’s tiny! I decided to create 16x16 sprites since it matches the size of the spritesheets I’ve chosen to use, and it allows me to not spend forever trying to get every detail right.

I know I’m going to struggle to finish this game, so restrictions like these will determine how much of a game I can make before the 17th.

Here’s Asta, bigger this time.

Goals

Tomorrow I’d like to animate Asta swinging her signature weapon, the yo-yo. Then, I can get back into engine land and work on an attack system using Godot colliders.
